Radon levels may contribute to skin cancer rates. Using the Swiss National Cohort (SNC), we conduct a population-based study aimed at updating models for the estimation of residential indoor radon concentrations and UV exposure and estimating the relationship between skin cancer and radon exposure. We use the Swiss Radon Database and data from different cancer registries. We also evaluate a case-only approach, which is an appealing design for cancer registries. This study will enable to better understand the role of radon exposure as a (modifiable) risk factor.
