Emmanuelle Lüthi, MSc, is a research fellow in the new and only Swiss chair promoting partnerships and co-production in health, supervised by Marie-Anne Durand. She is working on an innovative project, which aims to develop and evaluate the usability, accessibility and acceptability of an interactive AI-driven Patient Decision Aid (PtDA) made available through a patient-facing mobile technology for socially disadvantaged women in Switzerland focusing on cancer prevention.
Two years ago, she coordinated research projects for the chief executive officer at Unisanté. She notably worked on applying a new methodology (Delphi fast-track) developed at Unisanté in the field of smoking cessation and on several projects linked with public health and primary healthcare.
Prior to joining Unisanté, she was a scientific collaborator at the Institute of Family Medicine at the University of Fribourg from 2018 to 2023, contributing to scientific research in the field of integrative medicine, complementary medicine and family medicine. She worked on environmental projects (in collaboration with the Federal Office for the Environment) and on projects related to the prevention of sexual harassment and sexism towards medical students. She was a member of the steering committee of the Swiss Gender Health network (now known as Swiss Society for Gender Health), working to further integrate gender into the medical curriculum. She also jointed the Green Faculty, a network within the Faculty of Sciences and Medicine at University of Fribourg, which aims to reduce its environmental impact year on year through tangible measures in teaching, research, administration and campus life.
She has held a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Fribourg and an MSc in Medical Biology from the University of Lausanne since 2016. She enhanced her training by completing a three-week intensive summer programme in epidemiology at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
