menuCH-Kids
menuCH-kids is a study mandated by the Federal Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs (FSVO) and carried out by a dozen of Swiss scientific institutions.
It is a nationally representative survey aiming at capturing food consumption and dietary and health behaviors of randomly selected children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years, covering German-, French- and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland.
It includes the collection of food consumption data (24h recalls and food propensity questionnaire), lifestyle data, physical measurements, urine samples and voluntary blood sample.
After a successful pilot phase in the spring 2023, the main phase was conducted from September 2023 to September 2024, with 1852 participants. The study report has been published in November 2025 and the data are available for research.
